Event: Dutch Caribbean Cyber Conference Curaçao 2026

The Dutch Caribbean Cyber Conference brings experts together to discuss the latest trends, threats, and solutions in cybersecurity.

Connect. Learn. Strengthen Your Cyber Security.

The Dutch Caribbean continues to develop rapidly in the digital domain. With that growth, the need to approach cyber security seriously is also increasing. Where we laid the foundation during the first edition of our event last year, this year we're building further with more depth, more perspectives, and more room for interaction.

The second edition is set up on a larger scale, with more speakers, a more spacious venue, and expanded opportunities to connect. Cyber security isn't just about technology, but about collaboration, knowledge sharing, and taking responsibility as an organization and as a region.

Learn from experts in the field, connect with other professionals, and work together towards a safer Caribbean.

Program Curaçao

For the second edition on Curaçao, we have an extensive selection of Caribbean and international speakers. We stick to short, informative sessions with plenty of opportunities to network.

13:00–13:30 — Walk-in and welcome

Welcome by Kevin van den Eshof of Tozetta Ethical Hacking.

13:30–13:55 — Michael Romer and Daniel Yung

Michael Romer opens the event in a personal capacity. He is a lawyer, former detective, and former director of the Security Service of Curaçao, with international experience at, among others, INTERPOL.

Daniel Yung speaks about cyber resilience: not just preventing incidents, but being able to keep functioning as an organization when critical components or chain partners fail. The core question is: does your organization keep delivering when a critical component fails?

14:00–14:25 — Dave Maasland and Tim Murck, ESET Nederland & HackShield

Dave Maasland makes current cyber topics understandable and accessible. He shows why cybersecurity isn't just something for IT people, but for everyone.

Tim Murck is founder and Chief Product Officer of HackShield Future Cyber Heroes, a security awareness platform and educational program that helps hundreds of thousands of children worldwide be safer and more resilient online.

14:30–14:55 — Caetano Kluyver, CyberVade

Cybersecurity and privacy are closely related, but they're not the same. Organizations can be technically well secured and still suffer legal and reputational damage due to data breaches. This session covers responsibilities, stakeholder expectations, and practical tools for better privacy management.

15:00–15:25 — Networking break

A moment to make valuable connections directly, deepen knowledge, and exchange experiences and opportunities.

15:30–15:55 — René Poot, Justspark

A practical session about phishing, the impact on companies, employees and society, and measures to reduce risks and improve awareness and resilience.

16:00–16:25 — Jarno Sloots and Kevin van den Eshof, ConneqtID & Tozetta

How cyber security can turn a company upside down.

16:30–16:55 — Shari Joosten, EYE Security

A look at the reality of cyber incidents and how hackers select their targets. Using ransomware, business email compromise, and supply chain attacks, this session discusses the real impact and the importance of the assume-breach principle.

17:00 — Networking

Room to discuss the event afterwards, further explore ideas with speakers and other participants, and make new connections.
